College Football Hall of Fame coach Lou Holtz died Wednesday at the age of 89. Holtz died at his home in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by his family. A statement released said, “Holtz is remembered for his enduring values of faith, family, service and an unwavering belief in the potential of others… He is survived by four children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.” For more than five decades, Holtz coached at William & Mary, NC State. arkansasMinnesota, and South Carolina. His 1988 Notre Dame team won the national championship.
